The Nike Air Max BW OG “Persian Violet 2021” is the modern reissue of the original colorway of the retro Air Max running shoe. A September 2021 release, the “Persian Violet 2021” honors the 30-year anniversary of the Air Max BW (short for Big Window), which was originally released by Nike back in 1991 and was later popular in the early 2000s underground music and dance scene. The modern version of the Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe remains true to the original in many regards as the upper dons the OG’s black, white, and Persian Violet color coordination. Black mesh appears on the base. Tonal suede and leather overlay panels are found throughout the look. A Persian Violet Swoosh graces both sides. The Air Max BW gets its name from the large "big window" Air Max unit in the midsole. Release date: September 9, 2021
